In April 2021 a series of five webinars with prominent speakers was organized for all countries of Western Balkans, open to participants such as journalists, journalism students, representatives of media and of civil society, academics, etc. The topics were diverse and relevant both to media professionalism, and also on a broader range to media and information literacy and freedom of expression, including topics such as revenge porn, science journalism, hate speech and best practices in online media, moderation and self-regulation of online space, and initiatives on media involvement in media and information literacy. The speakers were prominent experts in their fields from Western Balkans, Europe, and USA. Below is a selection of the interviews held with each speaker regarding the topic of their webinar.
The series of webinars was organized in the framework of the regional project “Media for Citizens – Citizens for Media”, implemented by several media organizations from the Western Balkans, including Albanian Media Institute, with financial support from the European Union.
